The pharmaceutical companies picking inside access and profit over reason. Wow...what a surprise.
They aren’t worried about their family having limited access to health care.
They are not worried about getting the specialized care when they may need...because, just like in other socialist single payer systems...the “elite” statists will have a “different” plan and it will not involve rationing and long lines.
It is very simple...once the government gets control....you as an individual and family lose control over your health care choices. End of story.
Just go down to any department of motor vehicles or a VA hospital and see what you will get if you let the government control your health care.
Round people with vacant eyes, scheduled breaks and happy face pins sitting behind a counter telling you to go to another counter once you go to another counter to get the special form and have it certified at another counter once you get the permission from the other counter.
Remember this is not about real and productive reform of health care...American health care is the best in the world. Not perfect, but provides amazing access to all levels of society. A millionaire or a homeless person going into an ER after a car accident will get the same advanced quality of care. In a single payer system the care becomes segregated based on status.
Real reform involves finding ways to maximize competition and choice not eliminating competition and consolidating choice to a bureaucracy.
This is very simply about the liberals acquiring power and control.
Remember when you got up in the morning and all you needed to worry about was working hard, taking care of your family, maintaining your home and saving for retirement.
Now, thanks to the statists and their power grab...you get to worry about the very structure of America. Thanks Obama.
